Power Up Project 2009. A Case Study.

 

OUTREACH was the name of the process given to engage and recruit youth from the Bankstown, Liverpool and Fairfield LGAs.

 

STEP 1:

Candy B contacted schools via email and phone to gage who would be interested. Principals would recommend who to contact ( drama teachers etc). They would then contact Candy. See Marketing Fliers. 

 

STEP 2:

She then visited the schools, where she explained her project to the kids, and gave a mini-lesson e.g. learning a hip-hop dance routine.

 

STEP 3:

Students would then apply, writing why they wanted to be part of the project, and what dancing, drama etc means to them. 

 

STEP 4:

Candy selected 20 students out of ____ to be part of the Performance Training Workshops in the April school holidays. She chose students based on their application form and how they performed while she was at their school.
